My Personal Collection: Highlight Heaven

As you might know if you have been following my blog for a little while, I absolutely love highlighters! They are most definitely my favourite make-up product! Which is why I wanted to share my highlighter stash with you today on the blog. So be sure to read on!

So let’s start off with my first ever highlighting powder which was part of my first contour kit. This is one of Sleek‘s basic contour palettes in light. As you can tell from the picture below I have used this highlighter a lot! I have had so many compliments while wearing this highlighter. The palette is pretty tiny which makes it very suitable for carrying it in your purse! And it comes with a mirror which is a big plus if you ask me!

Second, is the second contour palette that I bought some time last year by Rimmel. I thought the packaging was pretty cute (which you cannot really tell from the way I took this photo). I have a love/hate relationship with Rimmel. I think their mascara’s, with the exception of one, are an absolute waste of money. But their compact powders and foundations are really good. I am however, not a fan of this palette, the highlighter is too dark, the bronzer too orange and shimmery for contouring and the blush too pink.

This highlighter by Etos is a more subtle highlighter and perfect for building the right glow. I do not use it as much anymore but I still think it is really pretty and it does not contain clumpy or big glitters so the glow is really natural and pretty.

Onto the next one which is the Solstice palette by Sleek which I have reviewed before. I am still very much in love with this highlighter palette and because of the small and useful packaging it often sits in my bag for those touch-ups during the day.

A while back during Black Friday I got my hands on this palette by The Balm, I had heard so many good things about Mary-Lou Manizer that I could not pass up on this palette with all the shades. I have not tried Betty-Lou Manizer yet because while it is really pretty, the shade is also pretty dark. I only wear Cindy-Lou Manizer when wearing a full face of make-up because otherwise it is too dark to use as a highlighter.

When the internet broke because of a beautiful rainbow highlighter I was among the people who could not wait to try one. So when I Heart MakeUp came out with Unicorns Heart I had to have it. You can expect a review on this highlighter pretty soon!

Finally, my newest addition to the highlighting family: the Make-Up Revolution Highlighting palette. This palette contains three highly pigmented highlighters and is absolutely stunning. I will be reviewing this palette very soon!

I hope you guys liked this post! What do you think of highlighters and what is your favourite brand and type? Let me know!

Love,

Nica

You have a nice range of highligters. I’m slowly building my collection. Most of them are sample size but only a little goes a long way!

    1. I started buying highlighters two years ago. So it has taken me quite a while as well. I think quality is more important than quantity. Having a highlighter which compliments the rest of your make-up is so much better than simply having a ton of them. Sample sizes are great for testing out what works for you 😊

I love golden tone highlighters more then anything else. I love sample sizes cause
They fit in the tinyest of areas
